

Steve's Ride hit Palm Beach County on June 3rd with a visit to Thirsty Turtle in Juno Beach where the restaurant presented a $2,000 donation to the organization. The motorcyclists followed Steve on his bicycle from Stuart to Hobe Sound where guests at Harry & The Natives cheered as he collected $1,000 checks from the restaurant and Ramey Rug. A group of motorcyclists awaited Steve with a $1,000 check from the motorcycle store and Steve also collected a $1,000 check from The Law Offices of Frank DiGiacomo and $500 from Grand Park Storage. June 2nd had Steve pedaling south through Martin County along US-1, visiting Treasure Coast Harley Davidson Inc. During the evening news, Steve concluded day two with a $1,000 check from Domenick's Catering at the Port St. Pressing on, Steve pedaled to Riverside Bank in Port St. On the second day of the ride, which was also the first day of the 2010 Hurricane Season, Steve rode into Fort Pierce, meeting a crowd of Red Cross supporters at Cobbs Landing where a $1,000 check was presented. Steve concluded the first day of his annual ride at Dyer Chevrolet in Vero Beach where owners Will and Tatiana Dyer donated $3,000. Traveling south, he stopped by Lobster Shanty in Vero Beach, collecting another $500 check. On Memorial Day, Steve kicked off his 11th annual ride at Sebastian River Medical Center where he accepted $500 gifts from Florida Power & Light and SRMC.


In total, he collected $52,110 from area businesses and donors, including a $10,000 donation from ride Grand Benefactor The Lee Pearlson Steinberg Foundation.ĭuring the first two days of his ride, Steve visited destinations in Indian River and St. Equipped with a bicycle and determination to prepare the community for hurricane season, Steve rode his bike for the 11th annual year from Sebastian to Boca Raton, hitting local hot spots along the way to raise money for three Red Cross chapters in the area.
